During the first part of 2023, the Virtual Education Center will only be available at military hospitals and clinics in our San Antonio market, allowing us to learn how patients and providers use the tool and monitor its effectiveness before making it available to patients throughout the MHS
Introducing the Virtual Education Center – a new tool for providers to help patients become better educated about their health. The tool is in a pilot phase, so stay tuned for updates.
The DHA Education and Training Directorate is managing the development of this new patient care tool.
When the tool becomes available to patients across the Military Health System, they will have access to nearly 50,000 educational resources covering 60 medical disciplines from more than 230 organizations. The user-friendly digital interface will be accessible using any mobile device or computer with access to the internet.Â
The Virtual Education Center will provide proven medical and health information to providers and patients and will have a direct impact on our patients’ experience. The new tool reflects the MHS commitment to support patient-centered care by improving the patient experience when they visit one of our hospitals or clinics.Â
